The protection of privacy in relation to personal data is the concern of every member of staff in MOS Food Hong Kong Limited. We respect personal data privacy and are committed to fully implementing and complying with the data protection principles and all relevant provisions under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (the Ordinance) and codes of practice issued by the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD).

 

Unless permitted or required by law, MOS Food Hong Kong Limtied will not disclose your personal data to any third parties without your prior consent. We make every effort to protect the privacy of User, but given the nature of the Internet, it cannot guarantee perfect security.

 

To ensure your secured experience at online services (including the website) provided by MOS Food Hong Kong Limited (referred to as "MOS" below), below MOS Privacy Policy ("Policy") will explain the situations and scope of which we use and disclose personal information collected from you. This Policy does not apply to online services that display or link to different privacy statements. Online services co-branded with other partners may also display or link to a joint privacy statement or separate privacy statements of our partners on top of this Policy. 1 - Collection of personal information

You may voluntarily choose to use our Inquiry Page, by providing Feedback, General Inquiry, Business Cooperation or other inquires through the website. MOS will collect the personal information that you used to apply. The personal information we collect include, but not limited to, your name, address, phone number, e-mail address and the inquiry content. We may also collect personal information you provided that is related to another person.

 

If the personal information you have provided is for job application, information will be used to assess applicant's capability on the applied position, and for the preliminary assessment of remuneration package. Applicants should ensure personal information provided is complete and correct. If applicants failed to provide complete or correct information, selection process and result may be affected. MOS will ensure the security of all personal information collected.

 

2 - Usage of personal information

We may use information about you for purposes described in this Policy or disclosed to you with relevant services. For example, we may use information about you to:

 

Understand and analyze the usage of this service for the purpose of service quality improvement. Provide MOS membership redemption and/or gifts. Send related notifications to online campaign participants and make data analysis on such campaigns.Invite you to join MOS campaigns or to conduct market research, questionnaires or customer feedback. Provide you with MOS and/or its related corporations' information and product information.

 

3 - Disclosure of your personal information

MOS shares your personal information in limited ways. With your consent, we may also share information about you with third parties that provide support services for us (such as credit card related companies or payment services companies, mailing centers or internet service providers) and/or make introduction for our products and services (such as e-mail marketers). These third parties may use information about you to fulfill duties on behalf of us.

 

If the personal information you have provided is for job application, MOS may share information about you to recruitment-related third parties, including corporate human resources department, managers who involve in recruitment process, or other authorized company staff or recruitment service provider of us. Whoever designated to handle personal information collected on recruitment purpose in accordance to "The Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance". In addition, we may also pass information about you to MOS's subsidiaries and/or co-branded companies for consideration if there are suitable vacancies. Thus if applicants object the above arrangement, you should do so upon application submission.

 

On the other hand, we may disclose specific information (i) upon requests from legal institutes such as the court, lawful requests from law enforcement organizations, or when required to comply with laws, or other legal-binding situations, (ii) to enforce our agreements with you, our corporate policies and terms of use relating to your use of MOS's products and services through our services, (iii) in the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets or any other situation involving the transfer of some or all of our business assets, and (iv) MOS's quality improvement plan on online services or co-hosting marketing campaigns with affiliated corporations' or other partners, and/or (v) to protect the rights, property or safety of MOS and affiliates, MOS FOOD SERVICES, Inc. and its subsidiaries and licensees, our employees, agents, customers, and others but only when it is reasonable to do so.

 

We may also share aggregated or anonymized information that does not directly identify you.

 

4 - Security and retention of personal information

MOS strives to protect your personal information from unauthorized access and against unlawful processing, destruction, damage and accidental loss. We take necessary measures to enhance the security of your personal in accordance to this Policy.

 

However, you should still be reminded that the transmission of information via the internet under any circumstance is still not completely secure, and no systems or technology can ensure absolute security against hackers. Thus, you should be aware of software and hardware's usage. This service will not bear compensation aroused from any direct, indirect, accidental and subsequent losses caused from your access or usage of this service. MOS may also provide external links on our service platform. You should refer directly to their own policies stated on said external platforms and MOS will not hold accountable for policies on said external platforms.

 

5 - Update of personal information.

If you wish to (i) submit other updates and/or (ii) request MOS from using information about you or erase information about you that MOS has in possession, above situations will be considered "update request". You can raise up your "update request" through email.

For personal information you have provided for job application, according to "The Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance", applicants have the right to access and update the personal information we have in possession. To do so, you may fill in the "Data Access Request Form" as required by "The Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance" and submit it to MOS's human resources department, or send it through email to recruitment@mosfood.hk

6 - Collection of non-personal information

For any information other than personal information that you have submitted to our online services, include but not limited to opinions, feedbacks, preference data, suggestions, supports, requests and questions ("Other Messages"), they will be handled and processed as non-secure and non- specific data. Once you have submitted Other Messages to our online services and are received by our platforms, you are considered giving us consent to make research and statistical use of these Other Messages with no compensation in return.
